Money Making on Runescape

Making money on Runescape is a matter of perspective, because to different people what I’m about to tell you may or may not interest you.  If you can make 20 million gold an hour easily then don’t even bother looking here because I’m not going to help you out at all.  This will be a brief guide into how you can make around 1-2 million gold per hour consistently.

The first thing I’d like to say is that if you want to make money you have to make an investment.  The people who set up businesses don’t make any money for the first few years at all before they eventually see profit.  The exact same is true of Runescape, and to be honest with you it’s not going to take years so don’t worry.
Edgeville pking to me is a great way of making consistent money.  I can already imagine people click the x button because they’re ‘not pkers’ and they ‘can’t do it’.  Guess what, like everything all it takes is a little bit of practice.  The people, who make the most, invest the most, invest your time and your money and realize you will die more than you’ll kill to start with.  But just like anything once you get good you only get better, I have kill to death ratios of about 3 to one and it doesn’t take a genius to figure I’m going to be making money – especially since I fight opponents with better armor.

Edge pking is about one thing, fighting and winning.  Having vengeance and turmoil are very useful but aren’t everything but they will make a decent difference.  You should be aiming to have everything skewing the odds of you hitting better in your favor, so vengeance and turmoil will really help you out.  When I look at people who make 200k gold per hour cutting magic trees I really do pity them, they’re too scared to lose a little money to start pking and don’t realize it’s an investment which will pay over 100 fold in the future.  Take the plunge and join the band wagon because you will make a lot of gold if you get good, and the only thing stopping you get good is your fearing of losing, get over the fear and realize to make money you have to lose a little to start with.

If you genuinely are horrified at the thought of pking to earn money, probably because it’s not been too successful in the past then I’d say hunter is your next best bet.  Frankly I find hunter boring and it doesn’t make that much gold, but when you compare it against chopping magic trees or catching lobsters it starts to look a little better.  What I’ve realized is that most people do spend their time doing these types of menial low paid tasks.  If they enjoy them that’s great, but a lot of people want to be rich so badly but they keep on doing the same thing, and the same method will always produce the same results.

Catching red chinchompas is decent money; they’re worth 800gp each so it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that after awhile you’re going to be making decent money.  They only take level 63 hunter which is great, especially because skills such as fishing require 73 fishing for sharks, which are only worth 550gp and are much slower to catch.

But if you want to make a lot of money, I’m talking 100s of millions to billions then stop doing boring menial tasks and start using your brain.  People who get rich on Runescape are like those who get rich in real life, and you don’t get rich in real life by… working on minimum wage in a factory, so why would you think you will doing the Runescape equivalent (chopping trees…).
