How to Make Money on Runescape Fast

A lot of people don't just ask me how to make money on Runescape, they ask me how to do it fast.  A massive variety of levels ask me this and so it's difficult to give an answer.  An obvious one of course would be to learn how to be good at staking, pking and luring.  Those are areas of making money that have incredibly returns if you know what you're doing, but to make a little you have to lose a little too and people don't want to take that step of losing money initially before getting the big returns - and while I understand this I also think that they've got the wrong frame of mind - no one got rich by playing it safe, playing it safe means you're not doing anything new, and if you're not doing anything new you're doing the same old thing and if you do the same old thing you can bet your left knee cap you'll get the same old results too.

Making gold quickly on Runescape isn't about doing anything special it's about maximising both your effectiveness as well as your time to maximise your profits too.  It sounds complicated I know, but there are a few small tips you can learn from me to help you double what you're making doing what you're doing.

If you want to make money in anything then summoning is a must because beast of burden familiars as well as health restoring ones can easily increase how much money you're making by 10-20%.  This means you'll make the same amount of money but in a quicker time which obviously increases your per hourly earnings.  Imagine how useful it would be to have a pack yak or any item holding item when doing so many tasks.  From God Wars to humble green dragon killing or slayer you can be sure that you'll increase how much you're making just because you'll be able to store more food and store more items with a familiar.

If you want to learn how to make money on Runescape fast you don't need to change what you're doing necessarily you just need to look at how to make it more efficient.  If there are quests or items or anything which speed up its rate by just a few percent in the long run it's going to make a substantial difference to your bank!

Money Making on Runescape Using Farming

Making money in real life isn’t easy, but in any system where currency is involved there’s almost always going to be a rich and a poor.  The same is true in Runescape as it is in real life, and there are people that play Runescape that have insane amounts of money, not just a few billion gold but tens and hundreds of billions.  But as with any system of currency where there are a few mega rich there are almost certainly going to be a mega amount of poor people beneath them.  This couldn’t be truer in the game of Runescape.

Farming isn’t going to make you billions of gold, but if you do it right it will make you millions and if used properly in conjunction with other skills it’s bound to make you a tidy sum.  One of the great things about making money from farming is that it requires very little actual input.  You add compost to the spot, add the seeds and water if necessary – apart from that you leave it until it’s grown – that is unless you want to be constantly checking for disease which is unnecessary.

The great thing about it is that all you have to do is plant the seeds, and then go off and do something else for half an hour, now I’m not talking about going on a three hour bandos trip.  But if your last farming patch is in Catherby then why not go and fish or woodcut for half an hour?  There’s no point waiting around for things to grow, you maximize your money by maximizing your time.  Waiting for the grass to grow (or in this case your plants) isn’t what’s going to make you rich.

Adding in farming herbs to whatever you’re doing is a great money spinner because it hardly disrupts what you’re doing but allows you to receive a tidy profit.  Take killing green dragons for example, which I know is hardly stimulating, but at my combat level (134) allows me to make 800k per hour.  All I would have to do is lose around 150k of profit from killing green dragons (because I would be planting herbs) but then I’d easily gain 300-350k in that hour planting the right herbs.

Making money on Runescape using Farming is about planting herbs, there’s nothing else that’s going to make you a decent amount of money.  The best thing to do is to compare the prices of seeds to that of the herbs to find out which is going to give you the best returns on your investment.  From here, don’t spend your time waiting for them to grow, but add them into a schedule and you can increase your productivity as well as train a useful skill substantially!

How To Make Money On Runescape

Things are very different than they used to be, and on February the first the wilderness, free trade and staking has all returned.  This has completely changed the methods of money making that previously existed, and the game runs in a far less linear fashion.

Making big money in the last few years has been down to one thing and one thing only - merchanting.  I'm not talking about the suckers that the merchanting clans use to buy up the items they're selling, I'm talking about the leaders or high up members within the clans which are making a lot of gold.  For most people however there isn't the opportunity to rise within these clans or even create them.  This is why it's far better now because if you've got a brain in your head you can get to the top without reliance on levels, already being rich or having powerful friends - although they all do help of course.

So if you want to make big money then it's time to employ a few smarter methods if you want to be rich.  Cutting magic logs or fishing sharks may mean you become moderately wealthy if you do it long enough, but you'll never be rich.  Fishing shark is like being the manager of an office, sure you have a decent salary and a nice house but you're never going to have the latest Mercedes now are you?  The majority of people stick by the rules and do what they know or think they know.  But it doesn't take a genius to figure out that if you keep doing the same thing you'll end up with the same results.  People chopping logs complain about being poor, but I see them day after day at that same old tree.

Now I could sit here and talk about pking, staking, merchanting and luring until the cows came home but you'd learn very little.  Pking is like a sport, and you don't get good at sport just by reading up on it, you have to actually do it.  But the big barrier stopping people trying all of these types of things are that they're seen as risky, and of course they are.  But what you have to remember is that to get good at these types of activites you need to lose at first.  Here's the break of point, a lot of people try pking/staking/merchanting/luring the difference is that most people try it, die multiple times to the good players, don't learn from their mistakes and quit and go back to what they've always done and receive the same results.  These people, these quitters make up the majority of players - the other type of people persever and eventually become the people killing the beginners - which do you want to be?
