Money Making on Runescape

Making money on Runescape is a matter of perspective, because to different people what I’m about to tell you may or may not interest you.  If you can make 20 million gold an hour easily then don’t even bother looking here because I’m not going to help you out at all.  This will be a brief guide into how you can make around 1-2 million gold per hour consistently.

The first thing I’d like to say is that if you want to make money you have to make an investment.  The people who set up businesses don’t make any money for the first few years at all before they eventually see profit.  The exact same is true of Runescape, and to be honest with you it’s not going to take years so don’t worry.
Edgeville pking to me is a great way of making consistent money.  I can already imagine people click the x button because they’re ‘not pkers’ and they ‘can’t do it’.  Guess what, like everything all it takes is a little bit of practice.  The people, who make the most, invest the most, invest your time and your money and realize you will die more than you’ll kill to start with.  But just like anything once you get good you only get better, I have kill to death ratios of about 3 to one and it doesn’t take a genius to figure I’m going to be making money – especially since I fight opponents with better armor.

Edge pking is about one thing, fighting and winning.  Having vengeance and turmoil are very useful but aren’t everything but they will make a decent difference.  You should be aiming to have everything skewing the odds of you hitting better in your favor, so vengeance and turmoil will really help you out.  When I look at people who make 200k gold per hour cutting magic trees I really do pity them, they’re too scared to lose a little money to start pking and don’t realize it’s an investment which will pay over 100 fold in the future.  Take the plunge and join the band wagon because you will make a lot of gold if you get good, and the only thing stopping you get good is your fearing of losing, get over the fear and realize to make money you have to lose a little to start with.

If you genuinely are horrified at the thought of pking to earn money, probably because it’s not been too successful in the past then I’d say hunter is your next best bet.  Frankly I find hunter boring and it doesn’t make that much gold, but when you compare it against chopping magic trees or catching lobsters it starts to look a little better.  What I’ve realized is that most people do spend their time doing these types of menial low paid tasks.  If they enjoy them that’s great, but a lot of people want to be rich so badly but they keep on doing the same thing, and the same method will always produce the same results.

Catching red chinchompas is decent money; they’re worth 800gp each so it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that after awhile you’re going to be making decent money.  They only take level 63 hunter which is great, especially because skills such as fishing require 73 fishing for sharks, which are only worth 550gp and are much slower to catch.

But if you want to make a lot of money, I’m talking 100s of millions to billions then stop doing boring menial tasks and start using your brain.  People who get rich on Runescape are like those who get rich in real life, and you don’t get rich in real life by… working on minimum wage in a factory, so why would you think you will doing the Runescape equivalent (chopping trees…).

How to Make Money on Runescape Fast and Easy

Guess what, there are definitely not lots of ways out there which allow you to make money on Runescape fast and easy, and there’s no how to guide either.

Firstly, I have a method for making around 50-100 million gold per hour, it’s consistent and that’s an average figure taken from my hours put in and my earnings.  But I’m not going to tell you what I do for the same reason all the rich players won’t tell you what they do either, because we want to keep on getting richer and richer.  I created this method for myself, so why would I give it away for free?  That even implies I’d let you buy it of me – I wouldn’t even let you do that, so what’s the point of this article you’re asking me.

Why give someone fish when you can give them a net, and why give someone a net when you can give them the means to make one themselves.  If I were to give you the rewards of what I do, it would be gold and if I were to give you the method, it would be the method.  But fish run out eventually, especially when there are not ways to replenish it, and nets break.  If I gave you fifty million gold you would eventually lose it all, and if I were to tell you my method then at some point it would stop working – so the obvious choice is to tell you how to make the net.

The first reason I’m not going to tell you is because I want to protect myself and the gold I’m going to make from what I do.  The second reason is that I want you to be creative and realize that you need to stop looking for the method to earning fast and easy Runescape money and create one yourself.  But for that you need to open your mind and think much more freely, because if you found this article it means you’re looking for a quick fix – and guess what, there isn’t one.

People are poor on Runescape because they do menial tasks which earn very little gold, and it’s the exact same in real life.  In my life I’ve found you can parallel many things between virtual worlds and real ones.  Just like Runescape, the rich aren’t the people who are cutting trees or doing this or that they’re the people who created something, an idea or a product and make a lot of money from it.  There are methods to making a lot of money in both the virtual world of Runescape, and the real one, the reason why most people are poor in Runescape is because they don’t try to be rich.  They dream of it, they search around a little for it, but they’re looking for some magical method to creating money.  Well guess what, make your own, someone who has a genuine way of making a lot of gold won’t be telling many people if anyone at all – why would he, he’d only be hindering himself long term.  So don’t expect to just go out and find one, on the other hand I really believe that there are ways to make money out there which haven’t been discovered – but you don’t find what you don’t look for.

Try and follow this logic.

1.       There are inevitably methods on Runescape for making vast amounts of gold, easily and quickly – you just have to know them.

2.       There are people who have discovered some of these techniques, but haven’t shared them, or if they have the effectiveness of these techniques has decreased substantially as more people know about them.

3.       There are as of now, undiscovered methods out there the only reason they’re being tapped by no one is because no one has figured them out yet.

4.       Most people don’t look for new things, they just try the same old things and complain with their same results.

5.       Some, very few people, realize there are undiscovered techniques out there, look for them, put effort and time in for a few days/weeks, give up and go back to what they’ve always done.

6.       Even less people don’t give up, they keep trying and eventually they create and perfect something which makes a lot of money – they don’t tell anyone because they’re logical and smart.

Who do you want to be?

Learning how to make money on Runescape fast and easy isn’t about learning the method, it’s about looking for and making one just for yourself.

How to Make Money on Runescape Fast

A lot of people don't just ask me how to make money on Runescape, they ask me how to do it fast.  A massive variety of levels ask me this and so it's difficult to give an answer.  An obvious one of course would be to learn how to be good at staking, pking and luring.  Those are areas of making money that have incredibly returns if you know what you're doing, but to make a little you have to lose a little too and people don't want to take that step of losing money initially before getting the big returns - and while I understand this I also think that they've got the wrong frame of mind - no one got rich by playing it safe, playing it safe means you're not doing anything new, and if you're not doing anything new you're doing the same old thing and if you do the same old thing you can bet your left knee cap you'll get the same old results too.

Making gold quickly on Runescape isn't about doing anything special it's about maximising both your effectiveness as well as your time to maximise your profits too.  It sounds complicated I know, but there are a few small tips you can learn from me to help you double what you're making doing what you're doing.

If you want to make money in anything then summoning is a must because beast of burden familiars as well as health restoring ones can easily increase how much money you're making by 10-20%.  This means you'll make the same amount of money but in a quicker time which obviously increases your per hourly earnings.  Imagine how useful it would be to have a pack yak or any item holding item when doing so many tasks.  From God Wars to humble green dragon killing or slayer you can be sure that you'll increase how much you're making just because you'll be able to store more food and store more items with a familiar.

If you want to learn how to make money on Runescape fast you don't need to change what you're doing necessarily you just need to look at how to make it more efficient.  If there are quests or items or anything which speed up its rate by just a few percent in the long run it's going to make a substantial difference to your bank!

Money Making on Runescape Using Farming

Making money in real life isn’t easy, but in any system where currency is involved there’s almost always going to be a rich and a poor.  The same is true in Runescape as it is in real life, and there are people that play Runescape that have insane amounts of money, not just a few billion gold but tens and hundreds of billions.  But as with any system of currency where there are a few mega rich there are almost certainly going to be a mega amount of poor people beneath them.  This couldn’t be truer in the game of Runescape.

Farming isn’t going to make you billions of gold, but if you do it right it will make you millions and if used properly in conjunction with other skills it’s bound to make you a tidy sum.  One of the great things about making money from farming is that it requires very little actual input.  You add compost to the spot, add the seeds and water if necessary – apart from that you leave it until it’s grown – that is unless you want to be constantly checking for disease which is unnecessary.

The great thing about it is that all you have to do is plant the seeds, and then go off and do something else for half an hour, now I’m not talking about going on a three hour bandos trip.  But if your last farming patch is in Catherby then why not go and fish or woodcut for half an hour?  There’s no point waiting around for things to grow, you maximize your money by maximizing your time.  Waiting for the grass to grow (or in this case your plants) isn’t what’s going to make you rich.

Adding in farming herbs to whatever you’re doing is a great money spinner because it hardly disrupts what you’re doing but allows you to receive a tidy profit.  Take killing green dragons for example, which I know is hardly stimulating, but at my combat level (134) allows me to make 800k per hour.  All I would have to do is lose around 150k of profit from killing green dragons (because I would be planting herbs) but then I’d easily gain 300-350k in that hour planting the right herbs.

Making money on Runescape using Farming is about planting herbs, there’s nothing else that’s going to make you a decent amount of money.  The best thing to do is to compare the prices of seeds to that of the herbs to find out which is going to give you the best returns on your investment.  From here, don’t spend your time waiting for them to grow, but add them into a schedule and you can increase your productivity as well as train a useful skill substantially!

How To Make Money On Runescape

Things are very different than they used to be, and on February the first the wilderness, free trade and staking has all returned.  This has completely changed the methods of money making that previously existed, and the game runs in a far less linear fashion.

Making big money in the last few years has been down to one thing and one thing only - merchanting.  I'm not talking about the suckers that the merchanting clans use to buy up the items they're selling, I'm talking about the leaders or high up members within the clans which are making a lot of gold.  For most people however there isn't the opportunity to rise within these clans or even create them.  This is why it's far better now because if you've got a brain in your head you can get to the top without reliance on levels, already being rich or having powerful friends - although they all do help of course.

So if you want to make big money then it's time to employ a few smarter methods if you want to be rich.  Cutting magic logs or fishing sharks may mean you become moderately wealthy if you do it long enough, but you'll never be rich.  Fishing shark is like being the manager of an office, sure you have a decent salary and a nice house but you're never going to have the latest Mercedes now are you?  The majority of people stick by the rules and do what they know or think they know.  But it doesn't take a genius to figure out that if you keep doing the same thing you'll end up with the same results.  People chopping logs complain about being poor, but I see them day after day at that same old tree.

Now I could sit here and talk about pking, staking, merchanting and luring until the cows came home but you'd learn very little.  Pking is like a sport, and you don't get good at sport just by reading up on it, you have to actually do it.  But the big barrier stopping people trying all of these types of things are that they're seen as risky, and of course they are.  But what you have to remember is that to get good at these types of activites you need to lose at first.  Here's the break of point, a lot of people try pking/staking/merchanting/luring the difference is that most people try it, die multiple times to the good players, don't learn from their mistakes and quit and go back to what they've always done and receive the same results.  These people, these quitters make up the majority of players - the other type of people persever and eventually become the people killing the beginners - which do you want to be?

Good Ways To Make Money On Runescape

Making money on an online game may seem easy, but it's just like making money in real life - everyone wants to be rich but few people actually manage it.  When you look at the people who have a lot of gold on Runescape you'll find that they have the attributes of the people that are rich in real life.  They're usually smart, hard working, cunning and very confident.  Making money on Runescape for the last 2-3 years has simply been a matter of grinding because there has been no free trade (which essentially makes laundering gold between accounts virtually impossible).  However on the 1St of February free trade and the wilderness (and staking) all return, and so the emphasis won't be on doing repetitive tasks all the time such as skilling or monster killing, it'll be about using your cunning and innovation to get ahead.

There are a massive amounts of scams, hacks, lures and techniques all that help people on their way to quick riches - and that's exactly what they are.  Whether it's simply befriending someone and backstabbing them for dragon claws or a godsword, or whether it's a more complex scheme or clan is irrelevant.  What is relevant is that they are all using underhand techniques in order to get ahead.  Now right away you must be thinking that in reality this isn't how people make money in the real world, but really it is.  Whether you're a corrupt banker getting undeserved bonuses or a landlord who gets rent under the table and out of the taxman's fingers there are plenty of ways that people get rich by not playing by the rules.

I recently asked a friend whether he'd join me in backstabbing a few 'friends' of mine - both exceptionally rich, and he declined, not on any moral basis but because he didn't want to risk his account getting banned.  Doing this isn't banneable, but other immoral and sometimes even evil methods of getting rich on this game are.  You have to ask yourself a pretty simple question in the next few weeks, do you want to play by the rules and get rich  slowly.  Or do you want to live fast, die young and scam, cheat, steal and hack yourself to billions of gold - because trust me the richest players didn't get there by chopping logs.

Easy Money Making On Runescape

Making money on Runescape is usually quite difficult and not easy, but the first thing that I feel we should do is define what exactly 'easy' is.  For some people easy is making a lot of money quick but putting in a lot of effort.  For others it's making less money at a slower speed but which requires less input and effort from the character itself.

A good example of the first one would be god wars dungeon or Barrows where killing the monsters allows you to loot drops worth millions of gold.  With the introduction of a new dungeon at the God Wars you can even kill Nex which is the minion of Zaros, at the moment some of its drop are worth in excess of 200 million gold!  But these kinds of activities take skill, effort and concentration all combined.  You need to be skilled at fighting, as well as being able to equip yourself well.  You need to put a lot of effort into not only know what armour to wear, but actually earning it so you can wear it, as well as getting the key to unlock Nex.  It definitely takes concentration because you're fighting a very difficult boss, if you let your guard down you could easily die.  This type of money making appeals to a lot of people because you can make vast amounts of money, but it does drain you both physically and mentally.

On the other hand when you're looking at something like skilling, perhaps hunter where you're catching chinchompas, or woodcutting yew trees and so on.  There's much less effort required and much less risk involved, in fact you're practically risking northing at all.  When you're cutting some logs the worst thing that can happen is that you can lose your axe head, but apart from that nothing else can happen.  This is unlike going to Barrows where a death could easily mean losing million of golds, I've had a friend who has died twice for around 10 million gold each time.

What's definitely not easy money making is doing repetitive tasks such as picking flax.  This doesn't even gain you any experience, and not only that but it's also terrible for actually making money.  It's also very boring and takes constant effort and attention, it's not like you can just click and wait for your inventory to fill up with flax, you have to be constantly clicking and moving.  If you're a low level that makes money in this type of a situation, I'd stop right away and focus on something that was actually productive.  This means for the time being you wouldn't be making any money as you gained combat or skill levels.  But when you have a high enough combat you can go to either Barrows or Godwars and increase your income dramatically.  Or when you have high enough gathering levels (for example woodcutting, mining and hunter and so on) you can make much better money while doing something enjoyable.  These both allow you to gain levels and make much more money.  You may not be making a lot of money to start with but you'lldefinitely start making a lot more then if you were doing a boring and menial task.  If you were to relate it to the real world it's like choosing to be a banker as opposed to a factory worker, one just pays better and is seen as being a better job.

To conclude easy money making on Runescape is a matter of preference, and it's a balance between the effort you put in and the rewards you get out of it.  I personally prefer a variety of tasks, such as those that make less but which aren't challenging and those which are much more challenging and dangerous but which present much greater rewards.
